E. Werner Reschke :: About

I grew up in Beaverton, Oregon where I graduated from Sunset High School and lettered on the varsity basketball team. I graduated from Oregon State University with cum laude honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. My Business Administration degree emphasized International Business and Marketing, with a minor in German and Economics.

I married my college sweetheart, the woman of my dreams. My wife and I recently celebrated our 31st anniversary. We have one son, who graduated from Crosspoint Christian School (formerly, Hosanna Christian School) in Klamath Falls and is a crew chief in the United States Air Force. My wife, who grew up in Klamath County, and I returned to live in Klamath County in 2001 to raise our son. Before I joined the legislature we were small business owners. We currently enjoy the simple life of country living on our small farm.

Life in South-Central Oregon

Gin & I attend Calvary Chapel Church in Klamath Falls. I served for over three years on the Klamath County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. For nearly 20 years I owned and operated a web development company. Before that I worked in management, marketing and customer support, for three Fortune 500 companies in Portland (Xerox, Tektronix and Georgia-Pacific). I am also proud to be serving my third term in the State Legislature for the people of  Klamath Falls, Merrill, Malin, Keno, Bonanza, Dairy, Sprague River and Lakeview.

As a small business owner, and as a legislator, I have seen first hand the negative impact of increased taxes, new fees and additional regulations. I understand in order to thrive, businesses must keep costs to a minimum. Unfortunately our State government continues to add undue burdens to all businesses, especially the small and rural ones, in Oregon.
